Cheers !
My husband and I had an appointment with Dave Thomas on Saturday, 5/09/15, to try and possibly see if we would be able to get a brand new car. Once we got to our appointment, we were seated with Dave only to be told to go with someone else to run our credits, which was okay..., so the man helping us..filled out the credit report form for both me and my husband, mind you, we had explained multiple times how both of our credits are very poor...we weren't expecting much help to be honest with our current situation (late payments here and there, unpaid medical bills, etc.) so it came to no surprise the result in the end but what really upset my husband and I was the treatment by Dave, we didn't have much interaction with him at all..once our credit report came back, Dave came over to us and handed the keys back to my husband, of our car we wanted to put down as down payment and told us very sternly, " We can't help you." And walked away, he seemed bothered and aggravated..The customer service here was very very poor, I would not recommend this Kia office to anyone.
I used to dread the process of looking for a new or used car, but not since we happened across KIA of Milford. And I say happened because my wife and I were looking for a "gently used" car a few years back, and walked into this dealership as we took our obligatory drive which had us visit many of the varied dealers in Milford. When we stopped at the KIA dealership the experience was pleasantly different from most others we had just visited, there was no pressure by anyone to get us to buy a car there - and we liked the experience. This "no pressure" approach is what we have come to enjoy and expect. The lack of high pressure salesmanship in cars is not gone from all dealerships in the Milford area as I could pick a few others close by which still use the 'hard sell' approach and maybe there are people out there who want to be pushed around and sold cars they cant afford, but this dealership seems to know they have cars priced fairly, and there has never been a need to try and oversell us or switch our wishes from the car we were looking for to a different model or year, just so the sales person could extract a more lucrative commission dollars out of the buyer. This dealership seems to be positioned for the repeat buyer in everything they say and do. So as a result I am happy to say we are repeat buyers of "gently used" cars from KIA of Milford, we just purchased our third vehicle from them this week, and I feel very good about the entire experience. In this time of research which can be done by the buyer, if you do a little homework ( and even if you don't ) then you can be assured that you will be treated with respect here at the Sales Department. I have never bought a brand new car here, ( and frankly I see no reason to purchase a brand new car again anywhere ever because we don't need one ) but I would expect the treatment to be the same from the sales people. If you are wondering why we don't buy new cars any more - my answer is easy, new cars are not good investments and that should not come as a surprise to any informed consumer. So let the folks who need a new car buy or lease one from KIA, and then when they return it in a year or two - you can count on a large segment of informed consumers who are happy to pick up a great value car that is in great shape and in almost new condition. Do your homework, and buy a 1 or 2 year old car which has been "Pre-Certified" meaning it qualifies for coverage under the remaining original warranty. I really do think you will have a good experience in Sales that should carry over to their Service Department. I can recommend this dealership to friends and family. When you stop by ask for Kevin but if he is not there you'll be in good hands with any of the other sales folks at KIA of Milford.
Went to Kia of Milford in October of 2014, was really interested in purchasing a new Optima. When I got there I told them I was just looking for now as I was about to go on vacation and didn't want to commit to anything new until I came back. They told me that they could work something out so I would not have to pay right away so I decided to look at some cars. Test drove a couple of optima's and finally found one I liked. I told them straight up the payment I was looking for and what I had to work with, I was told everything was fine put down some money and they told me that I could pick up my new optima in a couple of days........When that day came went to the dealership and was told the optima monthly payment pretty much doubled to what I was willing to pay so they showed me some other cars. I settled on a 2011 Sonata. The only issue I have had with them was the whole optima issue because it would of saved just a little more time instead of guaranteeing me the car was going to be mine to just simply say we will let you know once we hear back. Basically telling me the car was mine before talking to any banks, but of course as the customer I didn't know that they have not spoken to any banks as of yet. Besides that the service was good, and I have had no issues with services but then again I did purchase the extended warranty because the car was bought used.
I have a Saab 9-3, and this place was recommended for service. I loved coming to this Kia (Milford) ~ I have never been treated so nicely! I am a female and all the car "stuff" has always been handled by my husband, but not this time. They were so kind, everyone, but especially Jessica and Julie. I was wondering if you work on other types of cars.
Thank you Kia of Milford (Service Department).
I went there before work, had my old car traded in and the new car (a 2014 forte ex) financed and registered in about 3 hours. Kevin Wright got me in and out fast, which I really appreciated having to work that day, but fast also means thorough, I had a tour of the service area which was offsite from the showroom as well. I got a nicely equipped new car at a fair price and I have no complaints having put 1000 miles on it so far. Kevin, and KIA of Milford are just fine in my book. In fact, you should give him a raise, he makes your company look good and obviously knows how to sell.
