This one was perfect! Exactly what I was shopping for. After crawling over, under, & through, we made a deal and I was able to drive it home that evening. Joe even had the one tiny parking lot ding removed by his paint-less dent removal guy a few days later.

I had a terrific experience at Chips! I am very picky when it comes to cars and like to take a long time to inspect a used car. Joe at Chips gave me all the time I needed with no pressure. The first car a looked at was not up to my standards (great car, just not for me). I told Joe what I was looking for and he said he’d find it. To my surprise, I had a voicemail a week later saying “We’ve got your car”.

I found a truck listed by Chips on Autotrader that is exactly what I'm looking for. I called Chip's and a very professional representative named "Joe" answered all my questions. I bought a one way ticket to Hartford, rented a car and drove to Milford to look at the truck. The truck is exactly as described so I bought it and drove my truck 1000 miles back to Tennessee. I highly recommend buying a vehicle from Chip's.

As a business owner and a friend, im really disappointed and disgusted.

Living in SC and buying a car in CT causes a little apprehension, but I found a car on line that was just what I was looking for, so I gave it chance. I had a fantastic experience in buying my car. I dealt with Joe Manzi and he could not have been more professional. The description he gave me on the car was spot on, and I am thrilled with the car. Joe did exactly what he said he would every time. After I received the car, he called to make sure everything was good. 5 stars to Joe and the Chip's group.

A few weeks after this - the truck started making a humming noise - the garage mechanic said it could be the wheel hub, we'll take a look at it and fix it over the weekend.....well it wasnt the wheel hub - its the rear end - the transfer case was opened and in it was filled with metal shavings, almost no fluid and the fluid that was in it was the wrong type. Since the garage had the truck on the lift - they inspected the truck in and out and apparently theres serious issues that were never disclosed - like being unable to use the 4 wheel drive because the axles are cracked and leaking.

I waited months before writing this review because i wanted to give adequate time for Chips Auto Sales to rectify the issues I have and Ive always learned to never react when you're mad. I purchased a 2008 suburban back in August for $20,000 (yes, thats $7,000 OVER the book value of this truck in excellent condition) from Joe Manzi....Very nice guy, seemed genuine at the time and made me feel confidant. 20 days after, the truck wouldnt start - leaving me with a tow bill, kids stuck at school and almost $1,000 to replace the alternator, the battery and the ABS switch.

I had the pleasure of buying a vehicle there 11/15/16 first of all I must say every car on there lot in good shape no clunkers..I went there with my wife met the salesman Joe who was very to the point no BS which I like didn't try and sell me anything let the vehicle I wanted sell itself.. to top it all off he got me a fantastic rate for financing almost 3 points lower than a local competitor... the vehicle I bought was clean and well maintained and I will 100% do business with them again!!!

Customer service and developing relationship are what makes businesses successful. Ive never written a bad review , this is a first and i dont feel badly about it. You dont spend $7,000 over book value for a vehicle to have major problems with that accummulate over $6800 in repairs only to find out that the 4 wheel drive you actually need cant be used either.

I called joe explaiing what happend and asking for the dealership to cover these expenses or at least a portion of it, all i received was the used car speech and a guilt trip about him expected to pay out of his pocket for my problems. I let it go until i began to have problems with the brakes 2 weeks later. ANother bill and more down time for 4 sets of brake AND rotors and if thats not enough, the 2 tires on the back of the truck were bald on the inside to where the steel belting was exposed. 2 calls to joe and nothing returned.
