Very nice park for searching for shells. Lots to see if interested in shore birds as well. Not really a 'swimming' beach but this is New England and that should just be common sense.
Great free beach! Especially good for small children as there are no waves.
I love this free (for now-DEP wants to start charging and building a snack bar here-ridiculous waste of our money) beach. Decent parking but a 1/4m haul to the beach. Tough when you have your beach stuff, fine for an off-season walk. Very long boardwalk for exercise. Small beach but tons of shells! Bring your sneakers, save your feet. During low tide, walk 1/2m on sandbar to Charles Island. Very gentle waves, super low water line for a 1/4 mile at least, just knee deep. Portapotties in parking lot. No bathrooms on/near beach but that keeps the crowds away too. Demanding families and large groups go to other beaches. This beach is for people who enjoy the simplistic beauty and relaxation of the ocean.
Crown jewel! Beautiful Beach! I could just live there.
Lovely free access beach. Good amount of parking. Boardwalk was great and had a good time walking it. Only minor issue was that instead of a bathroom I use the port a potty which is never fun.
