Very peaceful spot with great views of Long Island Sound. If you want to get some great photos of birds this is the place to do it.
Nice place but very basic. Not impressed. Alabama has better views of the water. At a wedding a local couple walked infront of the couple's family picture. Terrible etiquette.
Well done. Nice spot. Wish Rhody had one like it. Felt like south Carolina it was lush and the building eco friendly. The people weren't that friendly to be honest. The volunteer I spoke to was a very kind man however.
Good view of the marshland but not as good as my grandparents house as a kid.
Audubon run preserve and wildlife refuge on the Long Island Sound. Salt Marsh and Wildlife Management Area at the mouth of the Housatonic River. Great place to view shore birds, migrating birds, song birds, raptors - all types of birds. I went on a free Audubon tour and viewed hundreds of birds and butterflies. Some areas were protected for breeding colonies. The staff were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. There is a small nature center, restrooms and ample parking.
