What a great business. Caring, Kind, Dependable. Beachwood ALWAYS comes through and Vin, the owner, is very involved with Rotary and gives generously to the local community. 5,000,000 stars!

They wrote my wife's name wrong on the card and the arrangement's flowers were wilted. We were completely embarrassed when we went to the wake and seen the arrangement. I spoke with the manager and he said the name was human error and the flowers were inspected prior to going out. There was nothing he could do. I have used this florist for at least 10 years and never had a problem. They recently changed ownership and I will never use or recommend them again.

Here's the extraordinary part of this story. I was impressed with the longevity of my arrangement. Three weeks later the flowers looked almost as perfect as they had been when new. That day I received an email from my hostess of four weeks earlier. "They're almost as fresh as the day you brought them to me," she told me with thanks.

My mom just passed and her wake was Tuesday and Funeral on Wednesday. My daughter in law was looking for the flowers her parents sent to the funeral home. They never delivered them even after they were told there would not be a problem delivering to another town, in fact she was told they were delivering quite a few to the same place. It was Wednesday before she was notified and gave multiple excuses including it was also Secretaries Day, also with a bit of an attitude. I also found out my neighbor was one of the "others" whose arrangement was not delivered to the funeral home. They called her Wednesday afternoon & asked what she wanted them to do with the flowers since they didn't deliver to East Haven. My neighbor said, I don't care what you do with them now, it's too late the funeral was this morning! They did say they would deliver a snack basket to my home instead first thing Thursday morning without charging them a delivery fee. I did receive a very nice basket at almost 5pm Thursday. In my opinion, they should not have charged her at all!

Almost four weeks ago I purchased a flower arrangement that I brought to my hostess for dinner. The following week, when I needed a centerpiece for my own dining room table, I went back to Beachwood and asked them to replicate the arrangement I had bought the previous week. The arrangement was perfect and I was happy with the compliments from my guests.

I will always wonder if there were other arrangements that we should have received but didn't & people that I should send thank you notes to. I had always loved Beachwood Florist with their prior owner. I don't think I will ever do business with them personally. If you make a mistake, own up to it and do what you can to make the customer happy! How could you not notify people immediately if you couldn't deliver to another town or get another local florist who would!?

It's not hard to find pretty floral arrangements, but it is a very welcome surprise when the flowers stay fresh and beautiful for close to a month. Thank you, Beachwood. You obviously care about your customers and take pride in your product.
