We purchased a living room set from Pilgrim Furniture in Milford, CT and we paid in full with the understanding our purchase would be delivered as stated. Well that did not happen, then when we did receive our furniture the delivery men put mud on our new White carpet of course we cleaned it. We received our chair at a later date which was fine except it was damaged, it had scratches all on the wood so they sent out a repair person who came with some furniture markers and called himself fixing it! NO not happening after calling store they did replace the chair and we were satisfied. But we have a warranty of 5 years on our furniture which we sit on maybe 3 times a year. Well noticed the sofa is not sitting correctly and called today, imagine to our surprise they only will cover the springs or a few other parts but NOT the Labor! Really? Never again will I purchase from a company that does not stand behind it's products and yes I am a blogger and I will post this and cross post it so that everyone will be aware of this policy. Very disappointed in this store and after reading all these reviews I can see it is not just my family.
This was my very first time shopping at Pilgrim's Furniture Milford and it was excellent thanks to John, the sales manager who assisted me. There was a wide range of high quality furniture to choose from and the prices were reasonable. John was patient and gave very useful advice as I looked at various sets, he did not employ any high pressure sales tactics, made sure to get us the best deal possible, and arranged for a quick delivery. We were surprised that the delivery men showed bright and early on the scheduled date and got the furniture into an upstairs room without a single scratch to the wall or furniture. (With other stores I have waited over 2 - 3 hrs in that time window that is usually given) Best furniture shopping experience I have had to date!
Last year we bought a sectional from Pilgrim and it started having problems with both corner pieces. The cushions you sit on where moving to the middle and having deep grooves around the edges. They replaced both parts but still, after a few months they started doing the same thing. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. Went in to purchase a new bed. The queen wasn't cutting it anymore when you have a 115lb puppy who insists on sleeping with you
We just had an enjoyable experience shopping for furniture! After visiting all the places along this busy road, and speaking with several other sales people, Carl DeMaio at Pilgrim was the best by far. Thank you for letting us take our time and treating us so kindly. Questions were all answered fully and options were explained. The furniture is reasonably priced and the selection was great. If you're going to invest in something, you want to try it out. We were surprised at how many of the other places did not have a floor model to actually sit in. Thanks Carl, we are looking forward to delivery!
Lawrence Wenthen helped us and was very patient with my husband picking out just the right power lift recliner. After much deliberating my husband decided to look at other furniture stores before he made a decision. When we returned to Pilgrim a few hours later, Lawrence was gone for the day but he had given me all the information we needed if we decided to purchase the recliner we were looking at. John the sales manager helped us complete the purchase and transported my husband in a store wheelchair so he didn't have to walk . I would not hesitate to shop at Pilgrim again. Company should be proud to have such professional and helpful employees as Lawrence and John working for you.
